SECTION 2 – Tournament Information

This is a competitive volleyball tournament hosted at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Participation involves physical activity and inherent risks. All participants must agree to the liability waiver below to compete.

SECTION 3 – LIABILITY WAIVER

ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that participation in a competitive volleyball tournament involves inherent and significant physical risks, including but not limited to running, jumping, diving, rapid direction changes, physical contact with other participants, and use of gym equipment and facilities.
I understand that these risks may result in injury, including sprains, strains, broken bones, head injuries, concussions, heat-related illness, permanent disability, or death.
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event and my presence on church property.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Hillcrest Baptist Church, its pastors, staff, volunteers, officers, members, sponsors, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liability arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage sustained while participating in this event or while on church property.
This release includes claims arising from ordinary negligence but does not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

INDEMNIFICATION / HOLD HARMLESS
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hillcrest Baptist Church, its pastors, staff, volunteers, officers, members, sponsors, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to my participation in this event or my actions while on church property.

CODE OF CONDUCT
I agree to follow all tournament rules and instructions given by event staff. I understand that unsafe, reckless, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in removal from the tournament without refund.
PHOTO / MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission for Hillcrest Baptist Church to use photographs or videos taken during the event for promotional purposes, including social media, website, and printed materials.
